Help exchange for traveller at Mesilou Hut, Ranau.

After 3 months, an earthquake and over a hundred aftershocks, Hut Lou is finally completed.

Hut Lou is a single occupancy hut specially catered for a single backpacker, a lone traveller or someone who would like to take a break from the bustle and hustle of city life. Our unique offer for anyone which fits the above criteria is a free stay throughout your duration with us provided your stay is for a minimum of 2 weeks and up to a month. All we need is your contribution to help out with our daily chores be it large or small and you can have a relaxing and tranquil time in this natural peaceful environment.

However, Hut Lou is also available for booking for a single traveller. Our rate for a single traveller for a few days is RM120 per day on weekdays and RM150 at weekends. Booking is only available on a month to month basis eg. for 01/09 booking is only available from 01-30/09 subject to availability.

Alternatively, you can always try and see if our other huts are available.

Application Criteria

1. Minimum 2 weeks to 1 month stay.

Housekeeping of all huts as and when required and all grounds within the Huts grounds.

Welcoming and providing assistance to guests as and when required.

Average daily 3-4 working hours, 5 days weekly.

2. Irregarding sex, religion, nationality, must be of age 20 years and above. No bad habits and must be hardworking.

3. Must be able to communicate in simple English and Bahasa Malaysia.

4. Must be responsible, honest, helpful and have intercommunication skills.

5. Must apply at least 1 month before.

6. Only 1 application per person.

※The Hut’s Management reserves the right to terminate your right of stay with immediate effect if your conduct and service is not to our standard.

Condtions of Stay

1. Hut Lou, a furnished single hut will be provide for your duration of stay but no food will be provided.

2. On your days off you are free to travel outside the hut and please do inform us if you are staying out.

3. No friends are allowed.

4. Please do inform your family of your intention.

5. No smoking allowed inside the hut.
